New Card Design - Quatrefoil

I've been designing this summer, and one of the first new stationery designs is our new "Quatrefoil" Card inspired by one of my favourite geometric patters. I'm loving it on carpets, and of course on Van Cleef & Arpels jewellery. When I did a google to try to show you how much this design is on so many different mediums, I came across this great blog post (where the images, excluding the stationery, are sourced from) over on Wide Open Spaces. Do take a pop over there, as the blog posting sums up my love for the pattern.

*NEW* We design, You Print Birth Announcements

One thing that we've been working on is a way in which our clients can have affordable, yet extremely stylish birth announcements.

Here's what this is. For $25.00 you can order an electronic custom designed Birth Announcement - any of the designs on PennyPeople.com can be turned into this. With this electronic copy that you purchase you receive (a) Unlimited proofs (b) a Final version designed to either a 4x6 or 5x7 sized announcement - With this final version you upload it to your local photolab, and have them print off the announcements for as little as $0.18 a piece....and even BETTER is that when we've been testing the designs (as I like to do, to make sure we're offering a top quality idea) the prints have been ready in literally 24 hours. So you're getting a custom designed announcement, and in your hands, in a matter of days.

Alternatively, instead of printing the announcement, you can e-mail it out instead of mailing it. This is a wonderful alternative if you really need to get out announcements quickly.

The alternative to this is our Deluxe Birth Announcement Packages which are $190.00 for 100 2 Sided Birth Announcements which include Envelopes, and again, unlimited Design Time. These are extremely popular with our clients - however some clients don't need anywhere near 100 announcements, so this design option is a wonderful in-between option as you can print as little as ONE announcement to as many as 100.

We can provide you with envelopes with this new option, however envelopes will be an additional cost, and we ask that you e-mail us ahead of ordering to let us know how many envelopes you would require, and where the order is shipping to. Alternatively we can tell you what size envelope you should be looking for to fit your photograph announcement.

We're super excited for this new product as one of the last new products of 2008. As 2009 rolls in we're going to be launching a number of new designs, but this was too fabulous not to share right away.

We're wild for zebra prints

This card hasn't yet launched, but we had to post it for our blog readers!

I have a thing for zebra prints, and much to the disgust of my mother, I yearn for a zebra print rug (faux obviously) for my living room. Due to cost, and the fear of alienating my Mother, I settled for a fabulous zebra print pillow, which equally disgusts my Mother (well, it's cowhide) but it makes the room oh-so-chic.

When Elise, our fab-u-lous intern started working with us, she immediately proclaimed her love of this beautiful pillow - and I knew the kid was worth keeping. We gabbed over our mutual love of the print, and it made me realize....we didn't have a card to reflect this oh-so-chic design.

And so the designing began. This was a common theme while Elise was here, the animal print. We have tons more designs waiting to be launched, but for now, we wanted to give you a sneak peak of this new design soon to be launched.

Mommy Calling Cards

With summer around the corner, you're going to be at the park more often, and meeting other Yummy Mommies and Daddies who may be fast friends! But alas - how do you exchange digits in a Mommy World? Enter "Mommy & Daddy Calling Cards".

Commonly called "Mommy Calling Cards" these business card sized calling cards to have any information you'd like on them. We first heard about them when a number of our clients requested them, and we think they are pretty darn cute. The premise behind these cards is simple, they are like your own modern-day calling card, but with all the information that is necessary for being a busy Mom or Dad - Phone Numbers, Cell phones, e-mail -

Some tips on information to have on the cards:

Tip #1 -- Your home phone & cell number
Why? You drop off the little munchkin and head out for an hour for some power shopping of errands. If the "babysitter" needs you, they pull out your card from their pocket and voila! They can reach you.

Tip #2 -- Allergies & Health Conditions

Mommy Calling Cards

A few months ago we started receiving quite a number of e-mails, asking for "Mommy Calling Cards". What a sweet idea! The concept behind these cards is to hand out one of your personalized cards if you meet someone in a playgroup, or on a playdate. These calling cards have your name, your childs name, and your contact information. I thought it would also be a fabulous idea to make these cards even MORE useful, to put potential allergies, or conditions that your child may have. These "business cards" are also great to hand out, in my mind, to babysitters. It's a great way for them to have your name, as well as your childs names & ages so they can have your information on file - including emergency contact information if they are babysitting.

We've been offering these cards for a few months now, and due to the popularity we've added some new designs.
